Discount Sales General Statistics

IndicaOnline BI helps you get the most out of your data. You can get in-depth insights into your customer's purchasing patterns, product performance, and finances. In this article, we will go through the Discount Sales General Statistics dashboard which is a part of the Sales package.
Discount Sales General Statistics
Filters allow you to configure the information displayed on the dashboard.
You can filter by the following criteria:
Account Name - The IndicaOnline account that the information is taken from (only applicable for users with multiple accounts).
Date Granularity - Allows you to select the granularity of the displayed timespan (can be Day, Week, Month, Quarter, or Year).
Date - The timespan that will be covered in the report.
Store - Specific Offices from your IndicaOnline account.
Cart Discount Name - The name of the applied cart discount.
Item Discount Name - The name of the applied item discount.
Below the filters, you will see the Top Level Statistics section.
Discount Percentage = discount percentage from total sales according to the applied filters
Discount Amount = total discounted amount according to the applied filters
Discounted Items = total number of discounted items
Average Discounted Price = total net sales divided by the number of items sold
Net Sales = gross sales minus refunds without taxes
Under Top Level Statistics you will notice the Avg Discount % and Product Qty chart. The Discount Percentage (pink line) is overlayed on top of Total Units (dark blue columns) so you can easily gauge their effectiveness.
Discount Percentage = discount percentage from total sales according to the applied filters
Total Sold Qty = total sold qty
Beneath Avg Discount % and Product Qty you will find the Discount % from total Net Sales section. Here you can see the Discount Percentage (pink line) overlaid on top of the Net Sales (blue part of the column) and Discount Amount (purple part of the column). The split columns give a distinct visual representation of the applied discounts.

Net Sales = gross sales minus refunds without taxes
Discount Amount = total discounted amount according to the applied filters
Underneath Discount % from total Net Sales, there is a Discounts by Category chart. It allows you to get a side-by-side view of the Net sales and the corresponding Discount Amount with a Discount Percentage overlay.

Net Sales = gross sales minus refunds without taxes
Discount Amount = total discounted amount according to the applied filters
The Discounts by Category Raw Data report gives you an overview of category-specific discount usage. You can view all relevant details, starting from Percent Discounts all the way to earned Profit.
The Discounts by Brand chart allows you to quickly evaluate brand performance and get a better perspective on how discounts affect said performance. You can hover over both blue (Average Item Price) and pink (Discount Percentage) dots to obtain even more data.
Discount Percentage = discount percentage from total sales according to the applied filters
Average Item Price = total sales divided by total sold qty
Total Units Sold = total sold qty
Under the Discounts by Brand chart, you will find the Discounts by Brand Raw Data report. This report gives you even more insight into the performance of specific discounts when utilized with different brands.
The Discounts by Vendor chart displays the Discount Percentage and Average Item Price in relation to specific vendors.
Discount Percentage = discount percentage from total sales according to the applied filters
Average Item Price = total sales divided by total sold qty
Total Units Sold = total sold qty
The Discounts by Vendor Raw Data report summarises the discount-vendor relationship in a more conventional manner.
Below the Discounts by Vendor Raw Data report, you will see the Discounts by Product chart, which displays the impact of discounts across specific products.
Discount Percentage = discount percentage from total sales according to the applied filters
Average Item Price = total sales divided by total sold qty
Total Units Sold = total sold qty
The Discounts by Product report allows you to gauge the effectiveness of discounts in relation to specific products.
